Suicide Crisis Response Plan
Dr. Harris is a certified suicide crisis response plan trainer, and conducts one day workshops for groups who are interested in learning and implementing brief and effective suicide prevention interventions. A crisis response plan is a unique intervention different from safety planning which involves a comprehensive narrative assessment of an individual’s own experience with suicidal thoughts and behaviors. The crisis response plan includes identifying specific warning signs, self-management strategies, reasons for living, social support, and emergency services. This one-day workshop will include role plays with direct feedback from qualified crisis response plan trainers. CEU credits are available for this workshop.

Brief Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (BCBT) for Suicide
Dr. Harris is a certified BCBT trainer which is a 8-12 session intervention for clients who at at risk for suicide. This two-day workshop teaches the components of crisis response planning, as well as effective self-management strategies and cognitive restructuring procedures for individuals struggling with suicidal thoughts and behaviors. Trainees will have ample opportunities to practice role-playing with feedback throughout the course of the two-day training. CEU credits are available for this workshop.
